Work through the course from key drills to passages. The timer starts on your first keystroke, and the on-screen keyboard highlights the next key and the finger that owns it.
Type the Chinese characters shown on screen using your system input method (Sogou, Microsoft Pinyin, etc.). Switch the IME to Chinese first if nothing appears.
Type the pinyin on the top line, letter by letter, including the spaces between syllables. The Chinese characters underneath are there so you can see what you are typing.
Practise the numeric keypad: index finger on 4, middle on 5, ring on 6, thumb on 0. The keypad on screen lights up the key you need next.
Practise the half-width symbols on the main keyboard. The shifted symbols (! @ # $ % ^ & * ( )) need Shift held down — use the Shift on the opposite side from the symbol key, and the on-screen keyboard lights up the correct one. Most punctuation symbols need no Shift at all.
Wubi practice: the code for each character is shown underneath it — type the letters in order. Switch your input method to English first, or the IME will swallow your keystrokes.
Paste anything you want to practise — an article, code, a word list. It is used immediately and never leaves your browser.
A free-form 60-second test. It scores itself when time runs out — go for your best speed.
Letters fall from the top. Press the matching key to clear them. Ten misses ends the game.
Results are stored locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Clearing browser data erases them.
